About Tallahassee Florida

Tallahassee, located in the eastern section of the Florida panhandle, is the capital of the State of Florida and situated in Leon County, 30 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. With a city population of over 150,000 and over 300,000 in the metro area, Tallahassee is the 8th largest city in the state.

Tallahassee is the home to many popular university and colleges, notably Florida State University and Florida A & M University. Other colleges in universities in Tallahassee are Tallahassee Community College and Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy. Barry University, Embry Riddle and Flagler all have branches in Tallahassee also.
